**Duration: 6-8 months**
**IR35 Status: Outside**
**Location: Likely to be regular travel or Portsmouth or Corsham**
Our client is a consultancy supporting a large MOD transformation programme along-side other delivery partners
They have a Splunk SIEM environment in place but they need an expert to take responsibility for the vetting, authorising, and enabling different functionalities that the customer may request
The SIEM system will provide services to the internal cloud service provider and tenants running on the hosting platform.
**Experience/Responsibilities**
- Enhancement, operation and on-going management of on-premise cloud SIEM systems
- Continual service improvement of the SIEM services to bolster and improve security of the cloud hosting platform and tenants.
- Ensure the risk assessment process against approved frameworks (e.g., NIST)
- Support team leads in the review of risk management and security design evidence, to confirm that risk assessments and risk treatment plans are consistent with business requirements.
**Essential Experience**
- Have knowledge and experience of delivering cyber monitoring systems
- Experience working with or integrating SIEM systems with VMware Cloud Foundation, VMware Log and Network Insight, VMware vROPS, Cisco ACI / APIC and Fortinet Boundary Firewalls
**Nice to Haves**
- Previous experience in a Defence SOC or security team
- Have experience of delivering projects through MODs JSP604
