**About this role**:
As part of ITV’s digital transformation, we would like to appoint a Metadata Programme Delivery Lead that can contribute towards our More than TV strategy. This is truly an exciting time to join ITV with the appointed individual leading the operations and delivery of ITV’s cross-functional metadata strategy. This is a pivotal role in supporting one of ITV’s core missions to supercharge streaming in the UK.

Working in an empowered cross-functional team, you will play a lead role in helping define ITV’s metadata strategy to deliver benefit and value to key internal stakeholders - such as Commissioning, Rights, Streaming, Marketing, Audiences and Product - and ensure ITV's content is discoverable by viewers, wherever and however they choose to watch.

**Key responsibilities**:

- Lead an advanced discovery phase of understanding ITV’s existing metadata capabilities, identifying opportunities to improve acquisition, ingest, management, enrichment and distribution of metadata through the content lifecycle/supply chain.
- Lead the identification of relevant metadata standards and taxonomy definitions that will enable ITV to distribute its content across a wide range of distribution platforms.
- Help to identify changes in the way ITV manages metadata from a system and process perspective.
- Take responsibility for operational oversight and delivery of the Programme as a series of iterative deliverables, service improvements and technology decisions, aiming to transform the end-to-end metadata functions of ITV within 18 months.
- Collaborate with the rest of the programme to define and deliver a holistic metadata strategy for ITV.

**To be considered for this opportunity you will need to demonstrate the following skills**:
**Minimum criteria**:

- Sufficient end-to-end operational, technical, product and development experience or knowledge to effectively manage a cross-functional delivery programme.
- Expert knowledge of metadata implementation in a matrixed media organisation and/or D2C distributed product space
- Deep understanding of the connected TV market and associated technologies
- Experience working across suppliers and teams and ensuring consistency of approach and unity of direction
- Excellent stakeholder management skills and proven track record in working with cross-functional teams
- Ability to navigate relationships at various levels across ITV, including strong influencing skills so as to act as a change agent
- Comfortable to navigate and guide others through ambiguity
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Able to work independently with little direction and to tight and evolving deadlines
- Can demonstrate flexible and creative approaches to problem-solving

**Key criteria**:

- Prior understanding of ITV’s More than TV strategy Phase 1 successes
