Machinist 4.15pm-1.15am

The Just Recruitment Group is currently recruiting for a Skilled Machinist on behalf of a client based in Haverhill, Suffolk.
Working Monday to Friday, 4.15pm-1.15am. Training will be on a day shift
Position Purpose
Responsible for operating a variety of machines to produce or repair precision parts, using both manual and automated equipment and accurate measurements.
Main Outcomes of the Position
Read engineering drawings and ensure implementation of the specification.
Set up and operate basic or specialised machine tools.
Expectations
- Operate, with minimum supervision, a variety of machines
- Take measure and mark material for cutting or shaping
- Maintain a clean and organised work area
- Perform routing machine maintenance and repair minor damages
Foundation / Position Requirements
- Good numeracy and mechanical skills
- Knowledge of mechanics
- Computer literate
- Understanding numerical and mathematical calculations and data
- Ability to read technical drawings
- Ability to work with a variety of materials (Desirable)
- Experience with stainless steel / aluminum would be advantageous
