Operational Buyer

Alexander Daniels are currently recruiting for an Operational Buyer for a full-time, permanent opportunity on behalf of an award-winning manufacturing business based near Cannock. Reporting into the Purchasing Manager, you will be responsible for the executionof all supply chain related activity, attached to their largest commercial customers.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Responsible for effective material planning and the correct releasing of production orders
- Ensuring shortages are managed to production orders and kept to a minimum so as to not affect production output
- Procurement of items in line with demand
- Updating lead times in the CRM system
- Dealing with suppliers and communicating with customer service regularly
- Assisting with implementing supplier agreements and strategy
- Supplier selection
- Contribute to customer forecasting process
- Attending and contributing to departmental meetings and continuous improvement initiatives.
