We are a friendly family business that prides itself in high quality workmanship, we have a great customer base and we are continuously looking for ways to better ourselves and invest in new equipment to ensure we stay up to date. We provide Design, Welding and Fabrication, Machining, Fitting and site work.

To join our team of 7 machinists within our machine shop, to carry out a wide variety of jobs on our CNC mills. We are a low batch shop so you will always be working on a new project. Some repeat work comes through the shop, but still in low batches. We pride ourselves in quality of work, so the pressure is more on quality than speed, measure twice cut once

We have a Doosan DNM5700S Running Siemens Shop Mill and then we have x3 XYZ CNC Mills running Prototrak, plus a manual knee mill. Ideally you will be able to program both, or be very confident in one. We also have OneCNC Offline programming.

You will be expected to be able to read drawings confidently and set up your work, machine, inspect and look after your work area keep it clean and tidy.

We also have some CNC lathes, so a basic understanding of turning will be helpful, however, this roll is for milling.

You will ideally be able to do all or some of the following
- Program XYZ Prototrak Mill.
- Program Siemens Shop Mill.
- Program OneCNC offline programming.
- To be able to setup work pieces safely using clamps or vice.
- To understand speeds and feeds, and cutter selection.
- To be able to machine in different materials - Stainless, Aluminium or Plastic.

**Skills Required**:

- **Good mechanical mind with Engineering Experience**.
- **Willing to work Overtime and Weekends**.
- **Ability to Read Engineering Drawings**:

- **Punctual and reliable.**:

- **Ability to work alone or as part of a team**.
- **Preferably Time served Machinist.**

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Pay: From £33,000.00 per year

Expected hours: 24 - 40 per week
