**Clarkes of Walsham Ltd - Walsham-le-Willows, Bury St Edmunds**

**40 hour contract, overtime when available**

**Yard Operative / Forklift Driver required at Clarkes Aggregates.**

At our aggregate centre, we offer a wide range of aggregates and decorative stone, loose and bagged supplying the trade and general public.

We are seeking a motivated and reliable Yard Operative / Forklift driver to join our team at Clarkes Aggregates in Summer Road, Walsham-le-Willows. This role is essential to the efficient operation of our yard, contributing significantly to our customer satisfaction. You will be required to bag aggregate for stock, load customer vehicles and book-out products using our internal computer system. You will be an integral part of the continued growth and exciting development of this department.

As an efficient team player, you will be responsible for loading and unloading vehicles with goods, moving materials around the site using a teleporter or counterbalance forklift, bagging aggregates, and generating sales tickets using our internal computer system.

High level of Health and Safety ensuring safe working practices will be required at all times.
- Picking customer orders.
- Loading customer vehicles with the correct products promptly and safely.
- Booking out products using our internal computer system to maintain accurate inventory records and provide customer documentation.
- Unloading supplier vehicles using forklifts and checking paperwork accompanying deliveries is correct.
- Taking an active role in daily operations.
- Bagging aggregate for stock.
- Moving of stock around the yard using forklift as required.
- Maintaining a clean, organised, and safe yard environment.
- Assisting with stock management and replenishment as needed.
- Carrying out daily safety forklift checks.

**Skills and Experience**
- Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused attitude.
- Pro-active and motivated with a high level of attention to detail.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work accurately under pressure.
- Computer skills essential.
- Self-motivated and able to work effectively as part of a team or independently.
- Forklift counterbalance licence is essential and valid UK certification taken with in the last 3 years.
- Teleporter license is an advantage although training will be given.

**Please ensure you have experience driving counterbalance forklifts and hold valid certification before applying.**

**Experience within the aggregate industry is an advantage, although not essential as training will be given.**
