JLB Handyman Services is a property maintenance business based in Cardiff, covering most aspects of property maintenance in both domestic and commercial settings. We have built a strong reputation locally for exemplary levels of work and reliability.

The business has grown exponentially over the last couple of years, and we are now looking for an experienced individual to join our team.

The job will be varied but tailored to your skill set so one day you could be fitting a kitchen or internal doors and the next day installing a kitchen tap or flooring.

A full driving license is required for this job.

**Location**

Our business is well established in the North Cardiff Area, but we are looking to cover all areas of Cardiff with your help.

**Experience - we are looking for a well-rounded multi-trades person so ideally would include the following experience and skills**:

- Basic plumbing and electrical
- Carpentry skills, i.e. skirting boards, architrave, boxing in, fitting interior doors, boarding out lofts, fitting kitchens
- Hanging and mounting items such as TV's, blinds, pictures
- Fencing and gates
- Tilling
- Assembling furniture
- Painting and decorating
- Flooring instillation
- Repair work to plasterboard and resealing showers etc.
- Replacing locks and handles
- General garden maintenance

Customer Service Skills - going above and beyond for our customers is at the core of our business. 90% of our business is from repeat work and you will need to build a close relationship with these customers to ensure we are always their number one choice for their property maintenance needs.

Attention to detail - the majority (not all) of our work is for high end clients and companies who expect things to be perfect, in fact we have built our reputation on it. You will need to have this ethos at your core in the way your present yourself, interact with our customers and in the work you complete and of course leaving the site spotlessly clean when you have finished.

You will need to be a happy positive person who can manage their own work schedule to a degree. You can be visiting multiple sites/houses a day.

Jobs are managed using an online system, so you will need to be comfortable in using a smartphone to looks at jobs, up-date job status and take photos of work etc.

**Hours and pay**

8 hour shifts, but we can be flexible with start times. The job is Monday-Friday but may include very rarely a weekend shift.

Our pay is on a scale depending on experience from **£20,600** **up to £28,000 per annum**

**Benefits**

Company van will be provided after the induction process has been completed with larger, specialised tools provided. You will be expected to have your own day-to-day hand tools.
