We are looking for new members of staff to join our team at John Muir Cafe. Looking for both full time and part time members of staff, we are flexible with rotas, weekend work is required, good renumeration.

Previous experience for kitchen work is preferred. Kitchen duties consist of preparing homemade soups daily, fresh salads daily, fresh homemade baking daily, preparation of Cafe menu fresh for customers, keeping kitchen up to cleanliness and organised standard, ensure you are up to date with cook safe & HACCP. Must have minimum level 1 Hygiene Certificate.

WE ARE NOT LOOKING FOR A CHEF. Seeking someone with previous cooking experience working in busy Cafe visitor attraction sites.

Must have good knowledge / experience of dealing with customers in the service department, be punctual, good eye for detail, organised, confident and capable of working alone and also as part of a team.

Counter assistant must have previous experience or be confident to work with / serve the Cafe customers, be organised ensuring all cakes and fridges are stocked at all times and all cafe tables are clear, cleaned and floor cleaned.

Positions available - kitchen porter, cook, counter assistant, food runner and front of house / counter assistant.

Training is provided if required. Staff training starting from Friday 1st March and job positions starting from 2nd March on a full and part time basis.

Uniforms will be provided upon the beginning of your employment, it is your responsibility to keep them clean and ironed for every shift.
