Prospero Health and Social Care are proud to be recruiting Youth Outreach Support Workers in Birkenhead, providing outreach support to vulnerable children with learning difficulties and/or special physical needs.

This is a company for people who want to make a difference.

The role will involve taking the service users out into the wider community for enjoyable assisted activities on a minimum 2:1 Basis.

The responsibilities for this role include but are not limited to:

- Taking care of vulnerable difficult children, with different types of mental health issues,
- Providing physical and emotional support whilst out in the community
- Contributing to the effective implementation of individual programmes by supporting learning, independence and experiences,
- Managing wellbeing and behaviours, ensuring significant behavioural or physical occurrences are addressed and managed accordingly,
- Dealing with a range of mental health issues and providing support and help at all times,
- Building relationships with the children and providing high levels of care and support,
- Maintaining professional relationships with clients, family and external healthcare professionals, and adhering to company policies and procedures.

The Skills You Need:

- Great problem solving skills, the ability to think on your feet
- Emotional resilience,
- High levels of professionalism and a non-judgemental attitude - regardless of the service user's needs,
- Experience as a support worker, working with vulnerable children with a variety of needs,
- Good written and verbal communication skills,
- 6 Months' Relevant Work Experience,
- 3 Years' Referenceable Employment History,
- DBS Certificate (we can help you acquire this),
- **Drivers License & Own Car Essential** as locations can be spread and varying,

What We Can Offer You:

- Competitive Salary of £15-£20+ Per Hour (inflated pay rate due to shorter shifts)
- Various training courses to expand your skills (TMVA, MEDS, etc.)
- Travel and accommodation expenses paid where applicable

**Salary**: £12.00-£16.00 per hour

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Warrington: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
