**Job description**

IKM Testing Aberdeen are recruiting a Maintenance Foreman to join our busy workshop team in Westhill, Aberdeenshire.

**Overview**

The Maintenance Foreman’s primary function is to oversee and plan the inspection, repair, test and maintenance activities of all IKM owned equipment. Attend FAT’s, visit client sites when required and sign-off on internal and external maintenance activities and works. Schedule and prioritise planned maintenance activities accordingly to ensure equipment remains fully certified and maintained to the highest standard on a continual basis. Coordinate the maintenance team and any equipment breakdowns, allocate activities accordingly within the schedule and communicate with operational departments on equipment availability. Liaise with suppliers and supplychain to source parts and keep sufficient stock levels. Maintain up-to-date service records and liaise with the Certification Coordinator on all certification matters and requirements. Directly report to the Workshop Coordinator and work closely with the Mobilisation Foreman to supervise daily activities and cover all general and QHSE aspects of the workshop and yard.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Raise MR's to the Workshop for capturing hire related to maintenance or workshop-based projects, liaising with Supplychain as required.
- Participate in the daily Tool Box Talk and ensure all activities are captured.
- Attend daily mobilisation meetings
- Populate the schedule will all annual certification
- Coordinate all maintenance team activities including maintenance, fabrication, repair works and equipment function testing.
- Ensure all equipment is allocated and prepared for operational jobs in line with load-out / MR requirements.
- Ensure any defects and fault reports from projects are investigated and rectified in a timely manner and suitable measures put in place to prevent re-occurrence.
- Ensure housekeeping is maintained to a high standard daily.
- Implement measures to increase efficiencies and ensure safe working practices are in order.
- Ensure all equipment is stored in the correctly designated areas of the workshop/yard.
- Ensure the IKM status label system is used at all times in line with the IKM Tagging Guidance document.
- Ensure that all IKM procedures are adhered to, and the core values are upheld.
- Liaise with Storeman, Supplychain and Suppliers to ensure there are adequate spare parts within the store to cover routine maintenance of all equipment and breakdowns as necessary.
- Mentor trainees during their time in the Workshop and supervise temporary workers.
- Liaise with Logistics team and ensure the timely allocation of equipment within the AX system.
- Ensure job cards are raised for all maintenance activities and completed accordingly.
- Ensure that all IKM equipment is maintained to the highest standard, paintwork is in good, clean condition and suitable for intended location.
- Perform other duties which may be required as directed by the Workshop Coordinator.
- Adhere to Company policies and procedures at all times.
- Monitor timekeeping and absence levels.
- Report staff issues and carry out disciplinary proceedings or actions as per direction from line manager and HR department.
- Report and act on any unsafe acts or issues found.
- Work closely with the Continuous Improvement Lead and Mob Foreman to drive continual improvements and initiatives across the Workshop division.
- Ensure adequate out of hours cover and on-call system is in place for any maintenance related issues or technical assistance.

**Requirements**:
Essential:
Ability to read and understand technical schematics.
Relevant qualifications within Mechanical Maintenance or Engineering.

**Required Experience**

Essential:
Must have previous experience working in the Oil and Gas industry.
Sound technical knowledge of Pipeline and Process Testing operations and the equipment used.
Multiple years of supervisory experience
Previous experience in a similar position

Preferred:
AX / SAFS experience.
Fully qualified mechanic
