The focus of the role is to ensure there is documentary evidence to support the Connells Group set standards of Fitness, Propriety and Competency for roles which fall under the certification regime. In addition to monitor the Connells Group Training & Competency scheme.

Day-to-day responsibilities will include supporting the Mortgage Services business and ad hoc monitoring activity; including liaising with management and team members to ensure logs/trackers are current and accurate and any issues are raised and/or closed appropriately.

**Key Tasks & Responsibilities**:

- Completing annual certification activities in line with the SMCR requirements for the certified business roles. To review internal reports to identify potential risk areas that may impact certification requirements and/or where action is required.
- Process mortgage services staff authorisations including de-authorisations due to Maternity Leave/Long Term Sickness and Suspensions etc. and re-authorisations for return to role.
- Updating the FCA Directory with accurate details of certified staff and also within the regulated timescales.
- Issue, track and review annual Fitness and Propriety questionnaires, highlighting any instances of potential concern. Also Carry out financial soundness checks as part of fitness and propriety undertaken on the Connells Group sales force.
- Liaise with Sales Management to validate adherence with the IDD Policy and Procedure and ensure these are tracked appropriately.
- Track imminent and missed Competency deadlines to ensure staff that provide advice/supervise advisors are appropriately managed and supported.
- Review MI provided by the first line sales teams to help evidence competence in line with Connells Group Training & Competence Scheme.
- Monitor adherence to the Group T&C Scheme and record any failings making sure that these are dealt with appropriately.
- Complete accurate information for regulatory references and ensure the information is in line
- To hold a 1st Line function and although support is imperative the T&C Team need to ensure the business meets the required standards.
- As a T&C Advisor you are expected to communicate with management and external companies.
