An opportunity has arisen for an EHS Coordinator at our Exeter site, reporting to the EHS Manager.

**Job role**:
You will be responsible for providing a professional EHS service for the site, by coordinating and managing EHS matters to ensure that legal and Company EHS standards are met. You will also support the successful development and implementation of continuous improvement strategies of EHS-related processes on site.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- To ensure the facility is compliant with both UK legislation and company standards for environment, health, and safety.
- To provide professional technical advice and administration support for the site.
- To design and deliver technical training, such as general toolbox talks, permit writing, FLT training and BA training
- Maintain training databases
- To assist with internal and external auditing processes, including support for internal corporate audits.
- To accurately report and support the investigation of incidents and near misses.
- To be an active member of site emergency team, giving leadership and onsite attendance where required.
- To engage with key internal and external stakeholders including contractors, regulators, and enforcement agencies.
- Maintenance of H&S Legal Register.
- To complete and review risk assessments and safe systems of work in accordance with current legislation and company standards

**Requirements**:

- Good working knowledge of UK environment, health, and safety legislation
- Ability to design and deliver technical training
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Awareness of Human Performance processes and role in safety management
- Experience of working in an engineering or manufacturing background
- NEBOSH Certificate
- Degree in Health & Safety Management or equivalent experience
- A proven EHS professional able to communicate, work, and influence effectively and efficiently at all levels of the business.
- Ability to negotiate and influence the actions and decisions of others
- Experience of working with ISO management systems
- Chartered membership of IOSH or equivalent (desirable)
