Pentalver’s strategically located off-dock facilities at Felixstowe, Southampton and London Gateway, along with our inland hub at Cannock, offer diverse container services such as road haulage, container storage, container maintenance repairs, refrigeration services and cargo handling. In addition to our terminal services, we sell new and used shipping and refrigerated containers, including bespoke modifications.

We are currently recruiting for a Container Handling Equipment (CHE) Operator to join our team in London Gateway depot (Stanford-le-Hope). As a CHE Operator you will be responsible for loading and unloading vehicles in the container yard in a safely and timely manner.

This is a full-time, permanent position working nights.

**Key responsibilities**:

- Operate Container Handling Equipment.
- Grade containers to customer requirements, keep paperwork accurate.
- Steam clean containers.
- Introduce manual VBS for hauliers when Depot is full.
- Set up reefer set points when no reefer engineers available.
- Ensure vehicles are serviced with the correct container in a timely manner.
- Ensure containers are stacked in accordance with the safe system, in a safe manner.
- Assist and support the reefer department.
- Maintain health and safety standards.

Requirements: *
- Full UK driving licence.
- Experience in a counter balance forklift
- A mature approach to H&S.
- A strong team player.
- Flexible to work outside normal business hours and overtime as needed.
