**Introduction**

Wefco, situated in Britannia Works in Gainsborough, are specialists in the manufacture of storage tanks, pressure vessels, refinery equipment & other bespoke bulk storage solutions.

Due to succesful growth, and the opening of a secondary facility, a fantastic opportunity has recently opened for a Logistics Coordinator.

As Logistics Co-ordinator the main duties will be to control the movement of raw materials and finished goods to facilitate a smooth and efficient fabrication and delivery processes.

This will include managing a small team to ensure the day-to-day expectations are achieved.

This position will work closely with the Procurement manager, Operations Manager, Stores Person, Yard Team and Inspector roles; to ensure all goods received are to the right specification and quality and make ready for issuing to the relevant departments.

**Key Roles & Responsibilities**:

- Planning and overseeing incoming and outgoing deliveries
- Overseeing logistics, stores/ goods inwards and transport services
- Book and coordinate UK and International shipments
- Produce all necessary notices and paperwork for movements.
- Ensure cost effective and timely transport of goods
- Ownership of materials from after purchase order is created
- Ensuring all deliveries are booked in and coordinated amongst the company
- Logging all incoming and outgoing deliveries coordinating with colleagues and planning into a schedule
- Ensure that all deliveries in and out are loaded/ offloaded in a timely manner
- Ensure all goods in are stored in correct locations with correct identification
- Reporting any discrepancies of deliveries to the Procurement Manager
- Ownership of Yard staff to ensure yard is kept organised and plans and schedules are communicated.
- Ensure that all stock for jobs is in correct location
- Co-ordinate the timely movement of materials into the works
- Focal point for any material shortages/queries
- Co-ordinating movements between subcontractors
- Maximise yard utilisation
- Overseeing weekly stock checks
- Managing stock levels and creating purchase requisitions for replenishment.
- Control picking process for jobs including despatch and packing lists.
- Highlight material shortages prior to contract critical path or works identification of the issue
- Work closely with the production team to meet the overall business objectives
- Organised/ Strategic mindset
- Exceptional communicator and coordinator
- Experience in a similar role/ industry
- Compentant user of computers & microsoft Office programmes.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
- Overtime
