Harnham are hiring for a Lead Data Engineer / Head of Data for an international education company. This role will focus on the Data Strategy and end-to-end ownership of the Data Capability Platform. This role offers great exposure to work with senior stakeholdersas well as a spilt of hands-on work and project management.

THE COMPANY:
The role is for an international education company that has been rapidly growing for the last 10 + years. This company is wanting to buildtheir data engineering team and are looking for someone with a mix of hands-on, strategicand managerial experience.

THE ROLE:
As a Lead Data Engineer/Head of Data, you will have full ownership over the implementation of the data strategy. In the first year in the role you will be a lot more focused on the hands on coding ,and as time goes on it will transition to more of a managerialrole.

YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
The ideal Lead Data Engineer / Head of Data will have experience in:

- Azure
- Python
- SQL
- Databricks
- Ideally Data Lake or Data Mesh
- Strong Leadership Experience
- Experience with end to end implementation of Data Strategy
- Experience explaining technical information to non-technical people
