IT Specialist

The Mer Group consists of five EV charging operator companies in Norway, Sweden, Germany and two separate companies in the UK, this role will be based within Mer Fleet Services in Consett County Durham.
The companies operate independently, but recently centralised the IT and Technology departments under one umbrella. We are looking for an IT Specialist who will report to the Head of IT Operations.

**Requirements**:
General Objectives:

- Own, manage Mer's charging infrastructure and in-house system with focus, but not exclusive, for Mer Fleet Services (Consett Head Office)
- Location based in Consett, County Durham reporting to Head of IT Operations
- Being a team plater and good communicator with their peers across the Mer IT Operations organisation enabling Mer to become a winning e-mobility provider with customer-centric solutions
- Actively contribute to the Mer Group and IT and Tech's common objectives
- Willing to learn new technologies

Personal goals and responsibilities:

- Responsible for in-house IT such as Microsoft Office/Azure, Dynamics
- Responsible for charging infrastructure in collaboration with Operations and the IT Operations team
- Be analytic, proactive and drive communication / troubleshooting with third party companies
- Self-drive person to get up to speed on charging infrastructure and can drive their own initiative
- Proactively contribute to a positive organisational culture and be an ambassador for Mer across all markets and towards external partners

Tasks
- Support the business unit with setting up connectivity's, stations and backend configurations
- Manage communications with third parties to solve charging issues and the related systems such as Backend, CRM, VPN
- In-house support and admin for IT assets such as printers, laptops and mobiles
- In-house support and admin for users using the Mer systems
- Test and verification of new firmware and new chargers on platform
- Supporting and enforcing IT policies and procedures
