**Role: Software & System Lead - Python - **C++, JS/HTML/CSS**

**Location: South Cornwall**

**Salary: £Competitive**

**This is a full time permanent role with Hybrid working - In the office 3 days a week**

**Role**
- Develop and drive the design and productization of the clients ambitious roadmap
- Expand and improve the design and operation of core products
- Work with cross-functional teams to implement, test and deliver optimal energy generation, storage and hybrid drive systems
- Work with the customer advocacy team to assist with field deployment

**Skills**
- A recognized university degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science or Electrical/Software Engineering
- Minimum 5+ years’ experience as an embedded/systems software engineer (exposure to energy generation and/or marine electronics strongly desired)
- Experience designing/developing electro-mechanical control/energy systems (highly desired)
- Excellent embedded programming skills in C (knowledge of C++, JS/HTML/CSS, Linux a bonus)
- Proficient programming with Python
- Good understanding of electronics principles and hardware/firmware debugging techniques
- Proficient with tools for source control and issue tracking
- Demonstrated ability to prioritise task assignments to meet project schedules and objectives
- Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
- Demonstrated knowledge of engineering design processes, procedures and requirements

**Desirable Skills and Attributes**
