**Overview of role**:
Location: Stockport

This is a great opportunity for a proactive and forward-thinking individual to join the busy Transport team here at Stockport. Reporting to the Transport Front Line Manager, the job holder will provide the team with clear direction needed to deliver the shift targets for the department. They will be expected to manage a shift team to ensure that the customer is delivered a quality product on time and in full. With hundreds of deliveries made daily of our brands and own label products, with over 100 drivers and a team in the office - it really is a fast paced but rewarding environment.

**Key Accountabilities**:

- Ensuring a safe working environment
- Dealing with the day-to-day running of the shift.
- Engaging people through an open communication style
- A passion in motivating and developing others
- Support and deputise for the FLM when required.
- Ensure legal compliance is followed at all times.
- Work with Despatch / VMU team members to achieve common goals.
- Conducting checks and audits on safety & performance.
- Confidence in facing difficult decisions and generate realistic solutions.
- Ability to communicate positively and effectively with all members of the team to develop relationships and understanding of the role.
- Foundation understanding of EU driver regulations and fleet compliance

**The Right Person**:
Shift: 4 on, 4 off rotating days and nights.

6am - 6pm / 6pm - 6am

Average 42 hours per week
