**About us**:
**Progress Schools** is part of **The Progress Group,** the Group is made up of six business units, each of which aspires to innovate, influence, and inspire others through high-quality and purposeful education and training. Progress Schools is a national group of 13 independent OFSTED-regulated schools.

At **Progress Schools - Thrapston** we support approximately 35 pupils on roll to ensure that we can provide ample opportunities for children who need a nurturing, encouraging and supportive environment, specifically for those who will reintegrate back into a mainstream setting. The school consists of a core team of the Head of School, Deputy Head of School, five teachers, and five support staff. Further support is also provided by regional and national staff, who work with a number of schools across our group.

**About the role**:
**Role and Responsibilities**:

- Supporting all students throughout the school in a 1:1, whole class support or outside the class capacity
- Continuing the altruistic work of the Progress Group
- Giving the pupils the chance to either get back into mainstream schools or progress into a sustained Post 16 pathway
- Contribute to a positive ethos for learning
- Overtly promote the values and achievements of the school to the community
- Be aware of and follow the company Equality, Safeguarding and Health and Safety Policies
- Have and create high expectations of staff and students

**Expectations within the role**:

- Assist the teacher with writing and monitoring pupil learning plans.
- Review and implement interventions which enable pupils to understand and meet their targets.
- Support with the delivery of learning activities in the absence of the teacher.
- Develop and maintain effective working relationships with other practitioners, drawing on their strengths and expertise to best support teaching and learning.
- Adapt to pupil and school requirements on a day to day basis.
- Work with all staff to address pupils’ barriers to learning.
- GCSEs in Maths and English C or 4 grade and above (or an equivalent)
- Experience of working within an education setting or equivalent.
- Experience working with vulnerable pupils
