Diverse Abilities is Dorset’s disability charity who have been supporting children and adults with profound physical and learning disabilities.

The people we support are unique. They are people living with profound and sometimes undiagnosed conditions. Their medical needs are complex, their disabilities are life limiting. Despite these disadvantages, we believe they should live the best life possible.

- **Hours per week **_:20 Hours per week
- **Shifts**_**:Working on a 2 week rolling rota

Week 1 : Friday 9pm-7am & Saturday 9pm-7am

Week 2: Wednesday 9pm-7am & Thursday 9pm-7am

**What we need from you**:

- Care experience and/or childcare experience.
- Full UK driving licence
- Desirable
- Person centred Approach

**Due to genuine occupational need, we require female applicants only**
- Provide night-time support and monitoring for the children and young people staying overnight
- Follow each individual young person’s care plan and contribute to their continuing development.
- Assist young people with intimate personal care - eg. Personal hygiene, feminine hygiene and bathing.
- Completing all paperwork and some domestic tasks such as washing, ironing and cleaning jobs.
- Encourage the young people to maintain high standards of cleanliness and tidiness.

Caring for a disabled young person is exhausting for care givers. Respite care is a way they can get a much-needed rest, safe in the knowledge that their child is being cared for and having fun in an environment tailored to their needs. As a night child support worker, you will be part of team who provides this for our young people, giving them a sense of self confidence and empowerment.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £12.51 per hour

Expected hours: 20 per week
