We have an exciting opportunity for an Aerothermal Methods Specialist within the Civil Aerospace Product Development and Technology organisation.

The specialist will look after the research, development, deployment and support of aerothermal methods for Intake, Fans, Compressors, Turbines and Exhaust across Civil and Defence. This is to cover the full range of aerothermal methods [1D to 3D], including bespoke / in-house tools as well as commercial tools. The specialist lead will manage the tasks of aerothermal methods engineers with key skills in the field who are deployed across sites and university partners.

What you will be doing

In this role you will lead a global team of engineers to develop aerothermal methods development.
- Develop and enact the strategy for the aerothermal methods tool set
- Lead a team across sites and university partners and plan out the activities for the team based on business priorities.
- Execute plans and deliver aerothermal tools to the users community in the business
- Work closely with the stakeholders in the business to capture requirements
- Responsible for the quality of the aerothermal tools delivered by the team
