**Overview**:
First Military Recruitment is working in partnership with our client - one of the nation’s leading waste and resource management companies - to recruit a Contract Manager to join their team in Wigan on a permanent, full-time basis.
This is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced operational manager with an IOSH or NEBOSH qualification and a Transport Manager CPC to join a forward-thinking organisation.
**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Manage the contracts with Wigan Metropolitan Borough Council and Warwickshire County Council.
- Operate the three Wigan Household Waste Recycling Centre (HWRC) contracts, the Judkins HWRC, the Kirklees Transfer Station facility, and the K2 Organics Transfer Station.
- Ensure that contractual and corporate KPI targets are met.
- Focus on profitability, recycling and diversion percentage rate.
- Ensure effective service delivery, strong customer communication, and growth in terms of centre uptake and organisational enhancement.

**Skills and Experience**:

- Hold a Transport Manager CPC and have up-to-date knowledge of Transport Management.
- An IOSH and/or NEBOSH qualification.
- Operational management experience.
- Experience of managing teams in a production environment.
- Experience managing Health and Safety.
- Experience delivering to production and financial targets.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
