6 am to 6 pm on a two-on, two-off, three-on shift rotation

Pay rate - Up to £13.26 per hour

Hours 6 am - 6 pm

Week 1: Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday

Week 2: Wednesday and Thursday only

Over the last 50 years, Direct Table Foods, based in Bury St. Edmunds, Suffolk has successfully grown to become one of the most prominent bacon, gammon and sausage processors in the UK with a rich heritage and strong vision.

To support our growth, we are now seeking a Dry Goods Operative to work in our dry goods department.

Role responsibilities include:
The efficient receipt and storage of all dry goods in accordance with company quality, hygiene and health and safety standards.

Duties include:

- Accurately check goods in against the delivery note
- Safe loading or unloading of all dry goods at either G60 or the main dry goods warehouse
- Liaise with departmental charge hand and label coordinator in relation to operational requirements
- Accurate picking of packaging and labels for production requirements
- Accurate return of packaging and labels from production
- Report any short shipments or damaged goods received to the packaging manager
- Ensure that a good standard of hygiene and housekeeping is maintained at all times
- Report any health and safety hazards within the department
- Compliance with health and safety rules at all times
- Compliance with all company policies, practices, and standard operating procedures

Skills and experience required:

- Working knowledge of the dry goods handled
- Working knowledge of departmental work instructions
- CIEH level 2 food safety for manufacturing
- Reach Truck/FLT licence desired
