Principal Clinical

**The post is 22.5 hours per week**

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Principal Psychologist in our ever-evolving Forensic Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service. Are you passionate about helping children, young people and their families and looking for an opportunity to develop your skills and knowledge in Forensic CAMHS?

This role offers the chance to be part of a team who pride themselves on offering forensic mental health services to children and young people within the community and secure settings. We have several pathways within the service; offering support to children and young people aged 0-18 working closely with family, carers, and the professional systems to achieve the best possible outcomes and support healthy transitions.

Yorkshire and Humber Forensic CAMHS launched in February 2018. We were successful in becoming the lead provider for this service, which is commissioned by NHS England. This pathway offers forensic mental health provision to young people who present with high-risk behaviour towards themselves and others and who may be involved with the Criminal Justice System. We provide consultation, assessment, and intervention within the region in partnership with 3 local NHS Trusts. We also hold the Single Point of Access for the Region and provide initial advice for all referrals.
