**Position**:
**Seed potato roguing** is an age-old, traditional summer job. It is popular as it provides an intense working period, a good opportunity to save money, to meet new people and to get some fresh air, sun and exercise. We service growers of high quality seed potato crops set to be inspected and exported. You will be trained to identify and extract unwanted plants from these seed potato crops.

Personal Specification:

- Must be enthusiastic and have a strong work ethic.
- No experience is required, however you must be comfortable working outdoors in Scottish summertime weather.
- A reasonable level of physical fitness is required as there is a lot of walking and lifting involved.
- Role generally suits someone with a keen eye for detail who takes pride from good, accurate work.
- You must enjoy working in a large, diverse team and be mindful and respectful that your work level will directly affect others.

Further Information:

- Wage starts at £11 per hour with £16.5 per hour overtime.
- We frequently work more than 48 hours per week, 7 days a week. A typical week would be around 60 hours.
- Free accommodation, transport, breakfast and vegetarian dinner can be provided for applicants if they are not from the area.
- Squad is based in Berwickshire. The crops are spread out between growers in Berwickshire, Roxburgh, East Lothian and North Northumberland.
- Must be available from the 19th June - 28th July 2023.
