Pre-assessment Deputy Sister

The Band 6 Pre-Assessment nurse will work as an autonomous practitioner with a caseload of complex patients within a team structure. The delivery of high quality, effective and compassionate care is essential to our organisation. Pre-Assessment is considered to be a pivotal part of the patient’s pathway ensuring the patients are in their optimal health for their procedures. The post holder will be responsible for leading the service in Winchester with band 7 and support across all sites Trust sites, Basingstoke, Winchester and Andover.
To practise autonomously, carrying a caseload of patients, supporting the team in the delivery of a seven-day, twenty-four-hour service for which you are responsible for or have been delegated the responsibility, this includes:
High standards of Professional Practice to ensure quality and safety of patient care, experience and the patient journey.
Ensuring the patients are fully informed about their procedure and be able to explain what to expect during the post operative recovery phase.
Specialised clinical practice, knowledge, skills and experience.
