The role of a Warehouse Operative is to receive and identify all parts and goods deliveries, check for accuracy of delivery, and store all stock appropriately in the designated area. To pick and check all orders and place in correct area for delivery or collection. To satisfy and retain existing parts customers whilst developing new customer opportunities. To work effectively within the dealership team to ensure industry-leading standards of customer care and satisfaction at all times.

**THE ROLE OF A WAREHOUSE OPERATIVE**

The Warehouse Operative role varies slightly by the employer, based upon the specific needs of the location. The below explanation is, therefore, a guide to support you in understanding what the role might entail.
- Ensure the accurate and timely completion of administration and operational tasks, handling all stock items safely and efficiently.
- Strive to achieve a consistently high level of customer satisfaction through outstanding personal and professional conduct.
- Develop and maintain professional and positive working relationships with Company colleagues, customers, suppliers and external representatives, where appropriate.
- Greet all customers and visitors promptly, courteously, and professionally.
- Ensure all environmental, Health & Safety and other Company policies and practices are strictly adhered to, operating within the law at all times.
- Display a positive attitude, supporting the Company’s reputation for excellence through high standards of personal behaviour, including appropriate dress code.
- Assess own performance and effectiveness and undertake personal development activities.

**WORKING WEEK**

Monday to Friday 8.30am - 5.30pm, however, each of our retailers will have different requirements. Total hours per week: 40.00.

All learners will be required to work the minimum apprenticeship duration of 30 hours per week. At least 20% of your working hours will be allocated to off-the-job training. We’ll support you to understand the working hours during the recruitment process.

**YOUR DEVELOPMENT**

We will support you to gain your Functional Skills (Core Skills in Scotland), if you require them, in Maths and English.

Block training is complemented by a combination of regular coaching visits from one of our experienced Coaches as well as Virtual Classroom sessions and E-Learning modules.

**ENTRY REQUIREMENTS**

Age: 16+

Prior Attainment: GCSE (or equivalent) grade A*-C or 9-4 in Maths and English. Predicated grades are accepted.

- OCR Nationals
- Key Skills Level 2
- NVQs
- Essential Skills (Wales)
- Functional Skills Level 2
- Core Skills (Scotland)
