Garden Maintenance

We run large holiday cottages, in Rushton Spencer, and Waterhouses, near Leek, Staffordshire.

We are looking for someone to support our team on Garden Maintenance.

Exterior maintenance in general, to make sure our flower beds and the weeding are up to scratch making sure the gardens are neat and tidy, and also looking at ways to improve them. Someone else will be doing the lawns/ mowing. This is for 'prettyfying'/ keeping on top of the weeds.

The position would be for 2 days a week (14 - 16 hours/ week), depending on availability of our venues. The pay would be £14/ hour.

The position would be for a minimum of 4 months, over the summer months with the potential for it to be longer.

We are a small knit team, but the person would have a high degree of responsibility and would be more that often left to get on with tasks without anyone over seeing them.

We are flexible on days worked, but would prefer being available on a Monday and Friday, as that is normally change over day for guests.

As the position is self employed you would need your own tools and/ or van and pay for the running of them. Materials needed for the job we would cover, soil/ flowers etc.
