Baker - Knead Bakery

Job Summary:
We are an award winning bakery & patisserie based in Malmesbury, Wiltshire. **Voted top 49 bakeries in the UK from The Times. Great Taste producer & four gold awards from South West Taste.**

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Baker to join our team. As a Baker, you will be responsible for preparing and baking a variety of delicious baked goods. Your attention to detail and knowledge of food safety will ensure that our customers receive high-quality products.

You'll be making a variety of our different award winning breads, laminated pastry, brioche doughs and biscuits, from our established recipes, with full support from our production manager. You'll be hands on throughout the whole process from weighing out the ingredients, processing the products, and loading and unloading the ovens.

We’d also love you to bring forward your own ideas and techniques to help the business grow even further.

**Duties**:

- Prepare and bake a wide range of baked goods, including bread, pastries, cakes, and cookies
- Follow recipes and measurements accurately to achieve consistent results
- Mix ingredients, doughs, and shape dough into desired forms
- Monitor baking process to ensure products are baked to perfection
- Decorate and garnish baked goods as required
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the bakery area
- Adhere to food safety guidelines and regulations
- Collaborate with other bakery staff to ensure smooth operations

**Experience**:

- Previous experience in a bakery or hotel setting is preferred
- Strong knowledge of food production and preparation techniques
- Familiarity with bakery equipment and tools used in baking
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of food safety practices and procedures
- Culinary training or certification is a plus
