**Whisper Bakes is looking to hire a Part Time Bakery Assistant to become an integral member of the team during this exciting period of growth and brand expansion.**

Whisper Bakes specialise in Belgian chocolate treats, including: Brownies, Blondies, Cookies & more. With a growing online presence we deliver postal boxes UK wide and attend regular in person events and pop ups. Alongside our own brand work we are also expanding our wholesale offering to local businesses, cafes, restaurants and retail units.

As a Bakery Assistant you will become an essential member of the business supporting in all areas of bakery life, including but not limited to:
Baking, decorating, packing orders, cleaning, restocking, customer service and content creation for social media.

As we expand this role will develop and we're looking for someone with the enthusiasm to get stuck in and grow with the business. This role has a high likelihood of becoming a permanent role after the initial 12 month contract.

**Working Hours**:
Our main operating hours are Monday - Wednesday 9am - 5.30pm. Some level of flexibility is required to accommodate busy trading weeks, which may result in 6pm finish, or the necessity to switch working days to cover a Friday shift when we have weekend events booked in.

The may be opportunity for additional hours through our pop up events.

Events hours are usually weekends and would include: collecting stock from the bakery, driving to the event, setting up, visual merchandising, serving customers, handling payments, cleaning down from the event and returning boxes to the bakery at the end of the day.

**Required**:
Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate (or willing to complete)

UK Driving license and car.

Enthusiastic attitude with strong attention to detail.

The role requires standing for long periods of time and lifting large quantities of ingredients (10kg).

**Job Types**: Part-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 12 months

Pay: £10.50-£11.50 per hour

Expected hours: 18 - 25 per week
