Our nursery is an absolutely safe and secure area overseen by fully qualified and enjoyable staff. We work in conjunction with Ofsted’s guidelines in children’s development, and facilities include fun and educational toys, equipment, and books to foster the child’s own creative ideas.

We integrate extracurricular activities (such as arts and crafts, dance, music, and gymnastics) into our nursery and child care programs to enhance traditional day care methodologies. We have a curriculum specifically tailored to meet the developmental needs of children and mirrors the curriculum of pre-schools and vocational schools.

**The main responsibilities of this job role will include**:

- Working towards Level 3 Childcare Apprenticeship.
- Supporting the development of the childcare provision.
- Providing an excellent range of activities that ensures that the child learns whilst having fun.
- Assisting the facility in meeting OFSTED requirements, which will also benefit in the Childcare Apprenticeship.
- Being a team player.
- Providing challenging and stimulating activities for all children appropriately to meet the Apprenticeship requirements.
- Taking part in First Aid training as required.
- Undertaking training as appropriate to meet any changes in the Apprenticeship Standards or appropriate legal requirements as required within the childcare setting.
- Ensuring that all Health, Safety and Hygiene requirements are always adhered to during the Childcare Apprenticeship.
- Responsibility for equal opportunity in delivery, access and attitude in aspects of service delivery and management
- Working with teams across the nursery setting
- Supporting children’s learning and development, including supporting planning and observations towards your Level 3 Childcare Apprenticeship.
- Preparing and maintaining the environment and resources for the children.
- Preparation of food for breakfast, snack and afternoon tea.
- Supporting children’s self-help needs.
- Being creative and enthusiastic.
- Following Safeguarding rules and regulations to also meet the Standard of the Childcare Apprenticeship.

Working within confidentiality guidelines to be able to achieve all of the above to complete the Level 3 Childcare Apprenticeship. This Apprenticeship will open the doors to a variety of future roles within the Childcare Sector.

**Training to be provided**:
Level 3 - Advanced Diploma Early Years Educator - Your apprenticeship will last for 13 months. You will be supported by an assessor throughout your apprenticeship, as well as a mentor within the nursery.

- At least 6 months recent experience of working full-time in a childcare setting

**Desired Personal Qualities**:
Applicants should have a desire to develop and enhance their childcare skills whilst working in a supportive nursery setting. This role is ideal for anybody who has a genuine passion for working with children and that is keen to learn and progress in their own professional development. The successful applicant will be a positive role model and enthusiastic individual.

You will need to attend online training with your Assessor for 10 days out of your whole apprenticeship, for your classroom-based learning and will be working within the nursery for the rest of the time with the support of your dedicated childcare assessor.
