**HR Advisor - Based in Ashford, Kent (occasional travel to Potters Bar required)** £21,400 per annum

31 days holiday inclusive of bank holidays

The following is an indication of the type and level of the main priorities expected of this role as directed by your line manager and is not intended to be a comprehensive list of duties or tasks:

- Produce management information reports and data to ensure that managers are aware of actions that need to be taken to monitor compliance with organisation policies in order to support the delivery of an effective HR service for the organisation.This willinclude annual pay reviews and exit interviews.
- Assist HR Business Partners with the management of sickness absence cases, liaising with relevant Occupational Health support to achieve the swift resolution of individual cases.
- Assist with the production and distribution of disciplinary, grievance, probationary and performance management cases.This will include attendance at management meetings to support and take accurate minutes of meetings.
- Manage the production of all necessary paperwork in relation to maternity, paternity, leavers, DBS, RTW and contractual changes, liaising with Payroll, managers and staff to ensure any queries are addressed efficiently.
- Actively participate in the delivery of the HR Strategy, including the development and completion of individual and departmental objectives.
- Cover the duties of the HR Apprentice as required in order to cover absences or to assist at times of high demand.

- Staff must complete mandatory annual Continuing Professional Development (CPD) in accordance with the number of hours set for their Department.
- Travel between sites as and when required in accordance with their job role.
- Evening and weekend work may be required to meet the needs of the service.
- Comply with and understand all aspects of legislation and CareTech policies and processes relating to safeguarding, including promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults.
- Ability to form and maintain appropriate relationships and personal boundaries with children and young people and venerable adults.
- Comply with, understand and promote statutory and organisation best practice in Health & Safety at a level relevant to the role and responsibilities held by the post holder.

- Actively take responsibility for their personal learning and development (informal and formal) reviewing and reflecting on their performance within their current role.
- Promote, adhere to, understand and put into practice all organisation policies and procedures.

- Attend and complete all mandatory training sessions or on-line computer based training packages as required by the organisation.
- Undertake any other duties consistent with the key responsibilities and/ or duties of this role as directed by your manager.

**Qualifications required**:
CIPD Level 5 or willingness to work towards within 2 years.
Five GCSE’s including passes in English & Maths.

**Skills & Aptitudes**

A practical knowledge of Human Resources processes and administrative procedures

Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing, with managers and staff across all levels of the organisation

Ability to deal with complex and sensitive cases
