**Role Overview**:
This role is based 2 days a week in our London office (St. Paul’s) and 3 days a week from home, reporting to the Quality Team Leader.The role is within our Operational Quality team and entails resolving non-conformances (both from customers and internal), approving toll manufacturing orders, issuing COA’s and auditing 3rd party warehouses and factories. Other duties may be assigned to provide day to day support to quality department.
- **KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES**:_
- Investigate non-conformances (quality, food safety-related and internal) back to root cause, ensure customers receive a satisfactory report with corrective and preventive actions.
- Approve toll manufacturing orders and resolve related issues and queries.
- Respond to technical queries from customers & suppliers related to our ingredients, also to quality and food safety, etc.
- Execute & participate in projects identified by the business for a continuous improvement of the Quality Management System.
- Review blocked inventory.
- Support all other Quality department tasks according to workload and priorities, such as:Arranging 3rd party laboratory analyses

Updates and reviews of product documentation, including specification, COA, SDS, allergens, GMO, animal feed labels, packaging, HACCP, etc.
Reviews of Standard Operating Procedures and other controlled documents
Questionnaires and statements for customers
Training & presentations
- **CORE COMPETENCIES/PERSON SPECIFICATIONS**:_
- Great understanding of Quality (Technical) requirements and standards of the food industry:
Necessary: ISO 9001, HACCP, BRC Food or Agents and Brokers.
Desired: FAMI-QS (animal feed), Organic / BIO, Kosher, Halal, IFS Logistics.
- Over 3 years of experience in a Quality, Technical or R&D role in the Food, Ingredients or Supplements industry.
- Some experience in auditing
- Some experience in resolving non-conformances or complaints
- High level of business and technical English.
- Experience working with retail online specification systems desirable but not essential

(QADEX, Hamilton Grant etc.)
- Food legislation / Food labelling training or understanding is essential.
- Attention to detail - completes all tasks in an accurate and consistent manner.
- Communication skills - able to write and speak clearly and articulately with various stakeholders including suppliers, customers and other departments.
- Able to prioritise and handle change of priorities.
- Has a sense of urgency and ability to work under pressure to tight timelines.
- Is able to work autonomously and with a team
