School Counsellor

SWaNS CIC provide the counselling provision for several schools across Cheshire East and beyond. We are looking for counsellors qualified to a minimum of level 5 Diploma in Counselling with experience and training of working with children and young people to work within these schools.

Experience of working in a school environment is desired but not essential.

The role will involve counselling in a school environment on a one-to-one basis as well as some group work. Completing the necessary administration tasks and reporting to SWaNS as necessary.

Currently the roles available are in secondary schools and are based in Cheshire East and are a mix of remote and face to face.

We require counsellors not only to have the necessary counselling training and skills but also have the ability to build strong relationships with staff and schools as well as being able to collaborate closely with each school ensuring that the service runs ethically and effectively.

The role runs for the full academic year and is paid on a sessional/self employed counsellor basis.

**Job Type**: Fixed term contract
Contract length: 12 months

**Salary**: £18.00-£20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 5 - 15 per week
