**Job Title: Ramp Supervisor**

**Location: Manchester Airport**

**PAY RATE: £13.31 PER HOUR**

**Purpose**:
The Ramp Supervisor will be responsible for supervising all PRM staff on shift, working with the Control Team and ensuring compliant use of systems to assist passengers. The post holder will have direct oversight of the PRM ramp operation working in conjunction with other departments to ensure the overall on time performance of the operation. The Supervisor will work a shift pattern assisting Operations Managers in the running of the operation on a daily basis.

**Key Responsibilities**:
**Operational**
- Supervise daily activities to ensure a safe and efficient operation and prescribed customer service levels are met.
- Implement and maintain effective planning and allocation of resources.
- Responsible to Operations Managers for training and development of staff and areas requiring improvement.
- To liaise with your fellow Supervisors daily and ensure that any outstanding issues are followed up and completed.
- Ensure that staff are using systems appropriately to record correct data.
- Ensure staff undertake full equipment checks.
- Monitor the ramp team activities through visual inspections, quality assurance and compliance checks and record via internal systems ie Assessnet, One Drive.
- Investigate and report any incidents or occurrences ensuring immediate escalation to Operations Managers.
- Monitor staff/team sickness and absence and report to Operations Managers.
- Ensure that all company uniform policy is adhered to and that all personal protection equipment is always worn.
- Ensure the Operations Manager is kept fully updated on all correspondence and daily activities.
- Support the resolution of customer complaints and passenger queries.
- Cover holidays for key operational roles as required.
- Oversight of the Ramp operation, being the point of escalation for any ramp related issues that may arise.
- Manage the fleet of vehicles which includes, CAP, LOLER, services and defects.
- Review all LYTX events, and take appropriate action based on the severity of event that has taken place.

Engagement
- Liaise with Airline on Duty Staff and other regulatory bodies.
- Maintain effective customer contact, report on ramp service delivery and resolve any ramp problems in a timely manner.
- Ensure effective and appropriate communication with all parties throughout the nominated Airport inclusive of relevant Airlines personal.
- Promote a just culture.
- Manage relationships with third party suppliers for servicing and maintenance needs within specified budgets.
- Communicate with the Controllers regarding any potential problems which may be encountered within the operation.
- Ensure that all necessary updates and other information are passed on to colleagues.

**Reporting**
- Completion of delay reports and submission ensuring full detailed information has been recorded.
- Support with full investigation and written report of all ramp incidents, accidents, and occurrences, highlighting areas that need to be addressed and actions taken.
- Assist in investigating any AOR incidents, track and report on incidents raised.
- Report on vehicle availability and highlight any ongoing issues.
- Conduct regular ramp audits / SWOPS and delegate activity to the operation when needed.

**People Management**
- Challenge and investigate poor performance.
- Manage all operational staff on shift to deliver a service consistent with Contract SLA’S.
- Lead and note take in investigation meetings where necessary.
- Assist Operations Managers in maintaining staff discipline and conformance and assist in carrying out investigation, disciplinaries or formal assessments where directed.
- Conduct performance meetings in association with Operations Managers as directed.
- Coach staff where required.

**Other**
- Carry out any reasonable task requested.

**Required Experience and Skills**:

- Previous experience of primarily working in a similar role is desirable.
- Must have the right to work in the UK.
- Must pass a DBS check.
- Must be able to provide 5 years reference information.
- Must have a full UK driving license.
