Laboratory Technician

**Job Title**:Laboratory Technician (Temporary)

**Location**: Waltham Abbey

**Hours**: Monday - Friday, 9 - 5

**Hourly rate**: £11 - £12 p/hr

**Start date**:As soon as possible

Reed Scientific are recruiting for a temporary Laboratory Technician for our client's Mass Spectrometry laboratory for a 2 - 3 month period. The vacancy has come about due to an increased work load. In this role you will be supporting Analytical Chemistsby carrying out sample preparation.
**Some of the responsibilities will include**:

- Handling pipettes
- Making solutions
- Handling samples

**Qualifications / Experience required**
- A degree in Chemistry or a related discipline OR recent experience of working in a laboratory environment with similar responsibilities
- Knowledge of GLP would be an advantage
- Good literacy and numeracy skills
- Excellent time keeping

This is an excellent opportunity for a recent Scientific graduate or for someone with recent laboratory experience who is either immediately available or has a short notice period.
