Property Inspector

**Position: Full Time / Permanent**

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Establishing and maintaining excellent communication with landlords, tenants, contractors, or other relevant parties.
- Willingness to hold in-person, telephone and virtual meetings with landlords, tenants, contractors, or other relevant parties.
- Complete property visits within required timescales in accordance with the terms of our contract with the landlord.
- Provide a photographic report as per core guidelines to clients and the property managers, reporting on the general condition of the property to include:

- Wear and tear issues
- Tenant damage issues
- Any regular/routine maintenance required
- Where repairs are noted, to help in identifying the cause or source of issue and recommend best possible course of action to remedy.
- Establish and nurture good relationships with clients, business connections, branch office colleagues, the wider lettings team and other departments.
- Providing general assistance to Property Managers with the management of the firm’s property portfolio and clients.
- Take responsibility for own personal development and maintain awareness of market conditions and trends, keeping appraised of legislative changes and industry news.
- Actively manage and minimise any risk to the company, whether financially, legally, or reputationally, ensuring compliance with the Letting Agent Code of Practice.
- Identify and develop other business opportunities for this or other departments within the firm including sales, financial services, etc.
- Providing regular reports to Management.

**Requirements**:
**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Desirable
- ARLA Propertymark or CIH Letwell qualification (SCQF level 6 or above)
- HNC or HND Legal Services
- Business, legal, property or financial degree

**SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE**:

- Essential
- Ability to efficiently prioritise and manage busy workload
- Experienced user of Microsoft Office
- Exceptional customer service skills
- Desirable
- Experience in similar role
- Minimum of 6 months experience in property or maintenance position.
- Full UK Driving License
