This is an exciting opportunity for an Associate Director of Nursing for our Surgery, Gastroenterology and Anaesthetics division.

You will be the senior nurse who works as part of the Divisional Management Team ensuring the delivery of safe, effective, and compassionate services to the population we serve.

**The Division is split into three Clinical Delivery Groups**: General Surgery and Gastroenterology; Theatres and Anaesthetics; Vascular and Urology. The division’s work encompasses emergency and elective care, inpatient care and day surgical practice.

In this role you will provide visible clinical leadership to the Division and play a major role in the continuing development of service delivery for the benefit of our patients.

You will be directly responsible for managing all aspects of quality, governance and patient experience within the Division to the agreed standard. You will act as an ambassador and role model for the trust, championing the Trust’s values and supporting the Trust’s development as a clinically led organisation.

In this role you will lead on the development and implementation of workforce planning in relation to nursing, midwifery and AHP’s to ensure provision of the right staff with the right skills, in the right place at the right time.

The Senior Clinical Lead has responsibility for managing all aspects of the quality of the clinical service within the Division of East Suffolk & North East Essex NHS Foundation Trust, including the implementation of robust systems and processes to support the Trust’s development as a clinically led organisation

The Senior Clinical Lead is accountable for the delivery of nursing clinical services, some of which may be specialised, within the Division/Service and is responsible for the nursing budget
