Reporting to Director of Field Sales, Flagships & Dept. Stores, the Head of Luxury Retail will:
Lead the overall retail strategy for staffed stores across the entire UK and Ireland business with clear plans for multiband, 3 axe (makeup, skin and Fragrance) beauty counters and ultra premium skincare evolution
Manage the Coty retailer sell out, to turn business insights into action plans and drive retail growth and deliver on sales plans in line with business ambitions
Proactively monitor both internal and competitor trends, and respond with appropriate strategic direction
Develop, coach, and lead our field team to help achieve a high-performing culture of excellence
RESPONSIBILITIES Strategic Direction
Prepare and agree a 3-year vision and strategy & sales plan for each retail partner, outlining the ambitions to improve sales, customer experience and brand image, and the initiatives needed to achieve those ambitions.
Co-ordinate internal functions to ensure long-term objectives are aligned and necessary support achieved
Review progress monthly/quarterly and annually to ensure delivery is on track and adapt plans as appropriate.
Lead the P&L productivity plans in the UK&I ensuring profitability targets are being met
Team Development & Management Develop, coach, and lead the team to help achieve a high-performing culture, driving an expectation of excellence from our people and holding the team to account Leading through change, to mobilise and motivate our people towards new directions when necessary, by acting as the key point of contact during any transitions Develop the skills and capabilities of the team at both a group and an individual level, and build succession plans to ensure a sustainable high-performing talent pipeline, with support from HR where relevant
Owning the staffing budget and approving budget requests as necessary, working closely with the Retail Commercial Executive
Work closely with management team on all HR issues, including more strategic initiates, such as recruitment, salary reviews, performance management.
Act as a point of escalation to chair complex Employment Relations cases, with support from HR where relevant Retail Operations
Lead for CRM - drive education strategy, implementation of new brands & target achievement (key stakeholder for the field channel and cross functional teams)

**Lead mystery shop programme**: provide monthly analysis into highlights and opportunities. Work with the Education team to implement development from key learnings Continue to drive operational efficiency and effectiveness on counter store implementation, follow-up and innovation. Ensure implementation of training guidelines throughout the retail Network
Control Visual Merchandising execution, delivering consistent best in class execution nationally Empower teams to deliver a consistent brand message on counter

**Targeting, Analysing & Forecasting**: Full Retail target ownership - setting and reviewing group retail sales targets and store targets with the Regional Retail Managers (and Area Managers as appropriate) to ensure target delivery whilst maintaining staffing budget Working closely with the Retail Commercial Executive, generate meaningful insights to be shared back with wider team Oversee the daily, weekly and monthly retail sales reporting for management. Recommend, monitor and analyse Promotions and Events for all retailers Oversee with retail team the implementation and maintenance of a retailer activity calendar (weekly/monthly) Track retail sales performance versus wholesale sales including NPD performance vs. expectations Work with Business Intelligence to enhance accuracy of Retail Tool
Productivity
Work with the field team/Retail Commercial Executive to measure, track and enhance retail sales productivity in all stores, via recommendation of optimum staffing levels, stock levels, assortment, and tactical sales action plans.
Recommend levels of temporary staffing in line with business priorities
Prepare and implement exciting and cost-effective incentives for key launches to maximise retail performance and analyse initiatives
Turn business insights into actions plans to deliver retail growth: identify on an ongoing basis opportunity to enhance and resolve issues which are affecting retail performance
Work with the management team to define KPI’s and prepare a KPI report monthly.
Business planning
Manage field team to build ambitious business plans and ensure they are implemented
Work with Marketing team to ensure Marketing animation plans are
