Are you a Mental health professional passionate about working with children and young people who have health difficulties, and their families? We are looking for an autonomous practitioner to join us in our enthusiastic and dynamic paediatric diabetes team. The role will focus on direct therapeutic work with patients/their families. The post will be based in ELCAS (East Lancashire Child and Adolescent service) rated outstanding by the CQC and in-reach into the paediatric diabetic service.

Would you like to join our multi-disciplinary team of dedicated healthcare professionals to deliver an excellent service in diabetic care. We provide specialist assessments, formulate and implement plan of care including therapy. Responsible for implementing a range of psychological interventions for children, families and young people. You get to manager your own case load. There is an opportunity to facilitate groups for young people and families.

This post is integrated into paediatric diabetes team which has an established Senior Clinical Psychologist and a multi disciplinary team. This role also provides plentiful opportunities for wider-scale service development projects, to deliver our aim to enable all of our young people to live well with diabetes. You will have the support for skills development within the role and also be encouraged to bring your own ideas. Good quality supervision will also be provided.
