For this position you will be working out of our Stoke, Nottingham and Derby academies. So where do our Functional Skills Tutors fit in?

**Role Information**

We are looking for individuals who have experience delivering Functional Skills English (up to Level 2) and are also passionate and dedicated to creating positive learning experiences.

**DUTIES**
- To Deliver English to level 1 & 2
- To work with a caseloads of learners
- To understand and agree each learners starting point and skills development needs
- Using the companies English and Maths delivery process, to agree a training plan with each learner
- Dealing with learners face to face in centres in the Midlands, working in groups and also remotely as required
- To carry out timely earner progress reviews
- Carry out regular caseload reviews
- Ensure evidence for learning, achievement, funding and Ofsted is captured
- Working closely with Academy Manager on best practice, planning and learner needs
- Working closely with IQA’s on best practice, development needs, providing sampling
- Work and communicate at the highest level, to think strategically and to meet KPIs
- To take appropriate responsibility to ensure the health, safety and well-being of self and others

**ESSENTIAL CRITERIA**

- Qualified English tutor
- L3 or higher in Maths (desirable)
- Hold a PTTLs/AET (or equivalent)
- Excellent presentation and communication skills - experience in training delivery
- Engaging, motivating and commands the classroom
- Extremely high attention to detail
- Strong timekeeping skills and well-prepared
- High standards of quality and efficiency
- Ability to react to changing client/learner needs in fast paced environment
- Good team player - can-do attitude, positive approach
- Self-starter, resourceful, autonomous - must be comfortable working alone
- Good customer relations skills and professional manner
- Flexibility and ability to adapt to different styles and audiences
- Ability to work and communicate at the highest level, to think strategically and to meet KPIs
- Able to take appropriate responsibility to ensure the health, safety and well-being of self and others.
- Have a good knowledge and understanding of safeguarding
- An awareness of different learning strategies and teaching methods suitable for teaching a diverse range of abilities.
- Experience of working with apprentices as well as groups of adults
