**About us**:
Young Giants is a holistic and inclusive term-time tuition and mentoring service, supporting children who are temporarily out of school (alternative provision) via daytime one-to-one tuition and mentoring in a child's home or venue within their community.

Founded and run by qualified teachers we work closely alongside our tutors in assessing and maintaining effective and needs-based packages of education support. We are not a tuition agency, rather an out-of-school education service, meaning we remain responsible for the management and quality of education for each of our learners. We build strong ties with any network or team around the child, forming part of the support network for each family we work with.

**The Role**:
We are currently seeking experienced SEN Teachers/Tutors and Mentors to support learners in Merton- we are therefore looking for practitioners who are able to travel to this location. Tuition is in-person, one-to-one in a learner's home or venue within the community during the daytime.

**About You**:
There is a small resources budget for students and tutors may receive a £7 travel allowance per student visit.

We are seeking tutors who are committed to their service and are able to commit to deliver tuition during the daytimes for a minimum of whole academic terms at a time.

**Skills and Qualification**s:

- Minimum Bachelor's Degree.
- Minimum 2 years teaching students with SEND in schools or in private settings.
- Enhanced DBS on the DBS Update system or willingness to have one carried out at a cost of £53
- Commitment to the academic development of learners and a willingness to commit to termly timetables without missing lessons due to outside commitments
- Secure understanding of child safeguarding

Tutors urgently needed for in-person tuition in Merton for learners with complex special and additional educational needs.

Location Merton
Contract: Part time - Employed PAYE or Self Employed

**Salary**: £30.00 - £40.00 per hour
Hours: Flexible
