**About the role and our team**

Join us as the Private Secretary to the Minister for the Cabinet Office

This is a critical, exciting and varied post, offering an opportunity to work in the Cabinet Office at the centre of the Isle of Man Government, and provide direct support to the Minister and officers of the Department to enable the Minister to deliver their demanding duties.

You will need to be a proactive self-starter, highly organised and an effective communicator to work in this fast-paced, exciting environment. You will need to have a strong team work ethic, and be able to make linkages across the whole of the Isle of Man Government.

Working with a supportive team within a busy and dynamic office, you will be a credible source of advice to the Minister. You will coordinate and prioritise their responsibilities, anticipate and resolve issues, making linkages across the whole of the Department and Isle of Man Government.

Some of your responsibilities will include:

- Managing and co-ordinating the Minister’s diary and appointments
- Preparing briefing information
- Own and deliver the Secretarial functions of the Public Service Commission and Cabinet Office Political Board which includes preparing agendas, recording minutes and actioning points to ensure the necessary progression of these to completion
- Managing the Minister’s briefing files for Tynwald and the House of Keys
- Monitoring Parliamentary proceedings to identify commitments made by the Minister
