Position Overview: As a Sample Reception Assistant, you will be responsible for the efficient receipt, handling, and distribution of samples collected by our internal fleet and third-party couriers. You will play a vital role in ensuring accurate sorting, tracking, and scheduling of samples, as well as maintaining effective communication with various departments within the company.

Key Responsibilities:

- Take receipt of samples from internal fleet and third-party couriers, ensuring proper documentation and adherence to protocols.
- Sort samples according to testing requirements, accurately placing them in designated sections within the sample receipt fridge.
- Receive and scan samples into our bespoke online system, maintaining accurate records throughout the process.
- Conduct contract review of samples to determine if requested analysis can be performed.
- Schedule samples for analysis in different laboratories, ensuring proper distribution and timely processing.
- Manage the flow of Shelf Life samples by scheduling them on specified dates.
- Prepare samples for subcontracting or transfer to other laboratories as needed.
- Liaise with the Laboratory team, keeping them informed of the workload and any specific requirements.
- Communicate any internal issues or sample-related concerns to the Customer Service Team.
- Foster effective relationships with all departments within the company to promote smooth operations.
- Contribute positively to the achievement of departmental Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the sample receipt fridge and work area, ensuring proper disposal of packaging material.
- Provide assistance to the Laboratories as required, particularly in sample disposal.
- Perform ad-hoc duties as directed, contributing to the overall efficiency of the department.
