**Open Ended Contract - Permanent: Full Time - 35 Hours per Week
We are looking for an experienced people manager to join our Team. You will be an enthusiastic, motivated and empathetic individual with relevant experience to be able to support our mental health and autism specialist mentors and influence and develop operational policy and practice in the Service.

**The Opportunity**:
A fantastic opportunity to join an expanding Team whose key role is to support disabled and neurodiverse students to participate fully and succeed in their chosen courses of study. You will lead a team of mental health and autism specialist mentors, facilitate/manage change programmes to deliver a more effective service and work with management team colleagues to ensure the provision of a high quality, student-focussed service to students and stakeholders.

**Your skills and attributes for success**:

- Educated to degree level
- Relevant professional training e.g. management
- Significant experience in a senior/similar managerial position.
- Previous experience of managing staff.
- Experience and understanding of strategic planning.
- Understanding of, and commitment to, promoting equality and inclusion, particularly disability.
- Ability to work effectively with a wide range of stakeholders.
- Excellent verbal, analytical and written communication
- Resilience and ability to work flexibly and under pressure
- Ability to work on own initiative and to lead a team, delegating effectively while maintaining consistent judgement.

The Disability & Learning Support Service are engaged in Hybrid Working with most team members working a balance of campus and remote working. Due to the nature of this role, please note that it cannot be entirely fulfilled by remote working
