We are looking for a driver to support the children and families using our childcare & community hub in Dundee.

The Sessional Driver/Escort (Childcare) will be responsible on a day to day basis to the Manager and Lead Practitioner. As per the Scottish Social Services Council Qualification (SSSC), you will become registered with them as a support worker within six months of employment.

Specific Responsibilities include:

- Be available to work sessional hours on a flexible basis, as allocated, within the operating hours of all of the services: 7.00am to 7.00pm, to meet all the needs of our service users.
- To be aware of and adhere to the Child Welfare and Protection Policies and Procedures.
- To maintain up to date detailed record logs.
- To submit Time Sheets, Detailed Record Logs and Mileage (if appropriate) by the 3rd of every month.
- To take part in any training offered.
- To have and maintain a safe and violation free drivers record.
- Ensure the safety and supervision of children during transportation.
- To have a good knowledge of children development from birth to 16 years.
- Being reliable and having good timekeeping.
- Being able to work on your own initiative.
- Have an understanding of the complex needs of a diverse range of families.
- Have good communication skills.

1. Period of appointment: The appointment is permanent

3. Salary: The real living wage of £10.90 per hour.

4. Hours of work: As and when required on a flexible basis.

5. Holidays: Pro rata for hours worked.

6. Training and Support and Supervision: You will receive induction training and frequent support in the first three months. Thereafter you will receive monthly individual support and supervision and annual appraisals from the management team. Our team members have access to internal and external training.
