Hours of Work: 36 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Overview of an IT Support Assistant:

"This is not a 1st Iine Support Officer position".
The Main Purpose of an IT Support Assistant:

- As part of Environmental Services division, carry out as directed a range of administrative and- service support duties to contribute to the achievement of service standards for operational- teams.- Act as a first line of support for directorate IT hardware and software, diagnosing and resolving technical issues through the agreed Service Delivery Model, escalating issues to third party providers were appropriate.- Maintain the ICT directorate equipment register of all ICT hardware and deployment- across all Environmental Services departments.-
- parameters in line with patches, upgrades, and operational requirements.- Liaise with the Council Service Desk to ensure that technical issues escalated to the Service- Desk and third-party providers are resolved within agreed service level agreements.- Carrying out patches and upgrades on directorate ICT back office and mobile technology,- including writing test scripts and carrying out system integration and user acceptance testing.- Liaise with the directorate management team to ensure all system configuration is in line- with operational requirements and reflective any legislative conditions.- Carry out daily quality checks to ensure work is technology hardware and software meets- agreed specifications, liaising with users and software providers to resolve service failures.- Carry out periodic reviews of data quality within directorate management systems in order to ensure accuracy, including spatial and asset data- Maintain corporate datasets relevant to the directorate, including spatial data.- Contribute to the development and delivery of training programmes for the use of back office and mobile platform technologies.- Work with other key service areas on system improvements for the benefit of improved- customer service- Contribute to technological developments designed to enhance operational efficiencies within Environmental Services.- To undertake other reasonable duties consistent with the grade and level of the post- Checking waste management system for completed jobs, querying complaints, monitoring progress, running reports, assisting users using the system, managing resources (users and assets) in the system, liaising with colleagues and vendorsAbout you, the successful IT Support Assistant will have:
