**Join Our Team as an Outreach Tutor for SEN Schools in Chatham**

**Your Role as an Outreach Tutor**:
Your primary goal will be to provide personalised educational assistance to specific pupils who need extra support. With a focus on Maths and English, your responsibilities will involve creating a strong connection with pupils, understanding their unique needs, and implementing strategies to enhance their learning experiences. You'll collaborate closely with school staff, parents, and professionals to foster a nurturing and inclusive environment, supporting pupils' overall development and success.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Develop a deep understanding of pupils' strengths, weaknesses, and learning requirements.
- Plan, prepare, and deliver tailored lessons to meet individual educational goals.
- Implement effective strategies and support plans to address learning difficulties or behavioral challenges.
- Provide 1:1 assistance during activities, ensuring active participation and engagement.
- Monitor progress, maintain accurate records, and communicate regularly with stakeholders.
- Collaborate with school staff and SENCO to adapt teaching methods to suit pupils' needs.
- Encourage social integration and positive relationships among pupils.

**Your Qualifications and Characteristics**:

- Hold QTS and have experience working in an SEN setting.
- Possess an Enhanced DBS on the update service.
- Demonstrate a deep understanding of the educational and emotional needs of diverse learners.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with pupils, parents, and staff.
- Show flexibility, adaptability, and resilience when faced with challenges.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
