**A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A KITCHEN ASSISTANT ASSISTANT AT HOLIDAY INN BARROW IN FURNESS**

Reporting to the Kitchen Manager you can expect your working day to include the following.
- Working within a very busy Restaurant.
- This includes prep work to maintaining a clean kitchen, your virtual support will ensure a smooth operation.
- Breakfast shifts are required for this role, whereby you will be assiting with the brekafast service which commences at 6.30am.
- Being flexible and a team player is essential criteria. The role is based on shift works, therefore there will be a mix of early and late shifts dependent on the business levels within the hotel.
- Weekend working is also part of this role.
- Providing True Hospitality to all guests to ensure they have the best experience whilst accomodating the hotel.

To succeed in the role of kKtchen Assistant you will need the following qualities and skills.
- Previous Kitchen Experience is essential.
- Flexibility in terms of working mornings and late shifts which suit the business needs.
- Working within a branded restaurant/bar is desirable.

The Holiday Inn Express Barrow in Furness hotel is located in Barrow’s town centre and is just a 3-minute drive to the BAE systems main plant. Barrow in Furness is the sea gate to the Lake District. Looking up from the beaches surrounding the peninsula, the Lakeland fells rise up behind the town. A 20-minute drive will take you into the heart of some of the country’s most beautiful scenery with England’s highest mountain, Scafell Pike, and Windermere both nearby.
The hotel makes the perfect base to explore the local areas and the many attractions including; The Dock Museum, Piel Island and South Lakes Safari Zoo.
