**Position: Waste Co-Ordinator**

**Salary: £10.90 per hour**
**Start Date: Immediate**
**Hours per week: Permanent, 37.5 hour per week, Monday to Friday 08:00 - 16:00**
**Location: Bridgend, CF35 6NY**

**Job Purpose**
- Priority task is to ensure site waste streams are dealt with in compliant manner.
- To deliver contractual obligations in accordance with client expectations.

**Accountabilities**
- Ensure site waste streams are dealt with compliantly and efficiently.
- Using a forklift to safely load various waste streams ready for disposal.
- Ensuring all waste documents are accurate and compliant.
- Escorting of waste sub-contractors onto, around and when leaving site.
- Operating an onsite compactor.
- Working with the site manager to order skip exchanges in a timely manner.
- Ensure all internal waste services that MSS are responsible for are carried out to a high standard.
- Carry out a replenishing / audit service for designated spill kits and other services on site.
- Regular communication with Site Manager to guarantee smooth operation of the contract delivery.
- Take a pro-active stance when it comes to Health and Safety matters.
- To assist in the training others in the role to continue the high standard of work.
- Confirm all equipment required is safe to use prior to task commencing.
- To example pride in the task.
- To be proactive & reactive to the Health & Safety of the team and others on site.
- Communicate any service deficiencies, hazards or any non-compliance trends that are discovered.
- Understand guidelines set out in the MSS Group Company Handbook.

**Skills, Knowledge and Experience**
- Health & Safety awareness
- Experience within tasks required
- Forklift experience (training can be provided)
- Schedule and prioritise workload and effectively.
- Continuous improvement mind set

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Bridgend: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)

**Experience**:

- Health and Safety: 1 year (preferred)
- Industrial Cleaning: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Forklift Licence (preferred)
